I'm Anna.

I am a former Kindergarten teacher from Atlanta, GA. I now reside in Humboldt Bay, California with my husband and our energetic Boston Terrier pup named Ike.  You might even find a few photos of my little guy throughout my site. He is my go-to guy when I go out scouting for new photo shoot locations.  I love to shoot in natural light in locations that are unique to my individual clients. I feel that the best photos come from when a child feels "at home" and comfortable. The most familiar spots are the ones where you will get the most genuine smiles.  I am more than happy to suggest a few favorite spots of my own but I also really love getting to know my clients based on their favorite local spots as well.  

My style of photography is definitely more candid in nature. I prefer 'in-the-moment' shots. I want kids to be kids. Children love to run, play, explore, get dirty, & have fun! I love to capture all of that. I love to see a child's personality shine through each individual photograph. You might find me asking, "What is your child's favorite game? What are they really into at this stage in their life? What can they NOT stop talking about?!?" Those are the things that I want to showcase in each photo. If your child has a favorite toy - bring it along! If they love to play hide&seek with their older sibling - let's do it! 

When I am not photographing then I am more than likely finding ways to explore and travel whenever possible. I recently overcame my fear of flying (though I still get nervous!) & have become addicted to seeking out new places to spend my time. The more I travel, the more in love I become with photography.
